The white grape variety originates from Turkey. Synonyms are Chaouch Rose, Chaouch Rozovyi, Damaskaya Rosa, Damaskaya Roza, Incili Çavuş, Kirmizi Razaki, Rasaki Pembe, Rozaki, Rozaki Rosso and Uva Rosa di Sardegna. According to DNA analyses carried out in 2018, it originates from a presumably natural cross between Chaouch Blanc (Çavuş) x Pehlivan Kara. The variety was a crossing partner in the new varieties Mechta and Muskat Zhemchuzhnyi. It is an all-female grape variety. It is used as table grape. No stocks were reported in 2016 (Kym Anderson statistics).
