Riede or location in the municipality of Deutsch-Schützen in the Eisenberg wine-growing region of Burgenland (Austria). Medium to heavy clay soils predominate. The microclimate is characterized by a strong exposure (solar radiation) to the afternoon sun. The reed is especially suitable for red wine varieties. Mainly the Blaufränkisch cultivated, others are Zweigelt, Blauburger and Cabernet Sauvignon The Jalits and Schiefer Uwe wineries, for example, have shares in the reed.
For me, Lexicon from wein.plus is the most comprehensive and best source of information about wine currently available.
