Carmen

The winery is located in Las Condes, a district of Santiago in Chile. It was founded in 1850 by Christian Lanz and named after his wife. Since 1987, it has belonged to the Multi Santa Rita, but operates independently under the leadership of Alvaro Espinoza. The vineyards cover more than 500 hectares in the areas of Casablanca and Leyda (Aconcagua), Rapel(Colchagua) and Maipo. Under the "Nativa" label, organic viticulture is practised on about 50 hectares of vineyards. The red wine varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Carmenère, Merlot, Petite Sirah (Durif), Pinot Noir, Syrah and Sangiovese are cultivated, as well as the white wine varieties Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Sémillon, Gewürztraminer and Viognier. The product range is marketed in the six lines Gold, Wine Maker's, Gran Reserva, Reserva, Wave Series and Classic.
