DOC area for red and rosé wines in the south-western corner of the Italian region of Sardinia. The zone in the historical area of Parco del Sulcis covers 250 hectares of vineyards in the municipalities of Calasetta, Carbonia, Carloforte, Giba, Masainas, Narcao, Nuxis, Perdaxius, Piscinas, Portoscuso, San Giovanni Suergiu, Santadi, Sant'Anna Arresi, Sant'Antioco, Tratalias and Villaperuccio in the province of Carbonia-Iglesias, and Teulada in the province of Cagliari. The wine must be made from at least 85% Carignano (Mazuelo) and a maximum of 15% of other authorised varieties. The wine types are Rosso, Rosso Riserva, Rosso Superiore, Novello, Passito and Rosato.
