Cannabis wine

In 2021, a wine was produced in France for the first time under the brand name "Burdi W." to which cannabis was added. Cannabidiol, a substance extracted from the female hemp plant (cannabis), has been used in various products for some time, for example in teas, oils, bakeries, chocolate, medicines and cosmetics. The project was financed by the crowdfunding platform KissKissBankBank. According to the producer, this drink is guaranteed to have a relaxing effect, provided it is consumed in moderation.

The wine is made from 100% pure Petit Verdot, which comes from vineyards in Bordeaux. The molecule cannabidiol (CBD) is added to this in the form of a water-soluble cannabis mixture. The end product contains 45.5 mg CBD. The molecule contained in hemp (or Cannabis sativa) has no psychotropic or harmful effects on health.
