The white grape variety is an interspecific new variety between 7489 INRA Bordeaux (Hybrid Blanc) x Muscat d'Hamburg. The hybrid was crossed in 1981 on behalf of the INRA at the Domaine de Vassal in Montpellier. The early ripening vine is not particularly susceptible to vine diseases. No stock was reported in 2010 (Stastistik Kym Anderson).
