Calcine

The red grape variety (also California G 22-2) is a new variety, whose parentage is not yet precisely clarified. According to a DNA analysis conducted in 2013, it originates from a crossing between Primitivo x Mondeuse Noire. However, the father variety was not confirmed in a further DNA analysis in 2020 (unknown). Both analyses were based on only 20 DNA markers (see under molecular genetics). In the breeding list, Zinfandel (Tribidrag) x Refosco (Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso) was indicated. The crossing took place in 1937 in the USA at the Agricultural Experiment Station of the University of California by the breeder Dr. Harold P. Olmo Harold (1909-2006). In 2016, no stocks were reported (Statistics Kym Anderson Kym).

If I were to rate websites, you would deserve the highest rating. It is rare to come across websites that provide such a large amount of data and are still so intuitive to use. Respect for the lovingly researched and informatively prepared encyclopedia. Keep it up!
