Caccio di Fermo Nero

The red grape variety originates from Italy. Synonyms are Uva Nera Antica and Uva Nera Antica (Apulia). According to DNA analyses carried out in 2021, it originates from a presumably natural cross between Achladi x unknown father variety. However, this is based on only 19 DNA markers (see molecular genetics). Nothing is known about a possible genetic link to the white variety Caccio di Fermo Bianco. No stocks were identified in 2016 (Kym Anderson).

There is a vast number of sources on the web where one can acquire knowledge about wine. But none has the scope, timeliness and accuracy of the information in the encyclopaedia at wein.plus. I use it regularly and rely on it.
