Regional appellation in Burgundy for red, rosé and white wines. The vineyards cover 200 hectares of vineyards in the seven communes of Augy, Auxerre, Champs-sur-Yonne, Lottes, Quenne, Saint-Bris-le-Vineux and Vaux in the north-west of the Yonne department. The glossary is a monumental achievement and one of the most important contributions to wine knowledge. Of all the encyclopaedias I use on the subject of wine, it is by far the most important. That was the case ten years ago and it hasn't changed since.
