The winegrowers' association "Die Burgundermacher" in the Lower Austrian winegrowing region Thermenregion was founded in September 2003. The eight member wineries have set themselves the essential goal of strengthening the trend towards Burgundy wines both in gastronomy and among consumers. Many years of experience and know-how help to ensure that the quality of the wines produced is kept correspondingly high. The two red Burgundy varieties Pinot Noir and St. Laurent are particularly cultivated. The eight wineries are Auer Leopold and Helga, Dopler Günther, Gisperg Johann, Hartl Heinrich, Heggenberger, Landauer-Gisperg, Reinisch Alfred and Schneider Georg.
