The red grape variety is a new variety between Mavroud (Mavrud) x Pinot Noir. Synonyms are Bouket and Bouquet. The cross was made in 1951 in Pleven (Bulgaria). It should not be confused with the Bukettrebe or Buketta varieties. The variety was a crossing partner in the new varieties Dunavska Gamza and Storgozia.

The early to medium ripening vine is sensitive to drought, but resistant to botrytis. It produces spicy, age-worthy red wines with a balanced acidity, alcohol and tannin content and a cherry flavour.
