The winery "BRÜNDY - Weingut am Wagram" is located in the municipality of Feuersbrunn in the Lower Austrian wine-growing region of Wagram. The traditional family has been growing grapes here since 1760. In 1986, Rudolf Bründlmayer took over his parents' business. In 1988, he was the first winemaker in this region to plant the Cabernet Sauvignon variety and experimented with French barrique barrels in the early 1980s. The vineyards cover 20 hectares of vines in the Bründlgraben, Hengstberg, Holzweg, Nussberg, Ritzenthal, Rosenberg and Stiegl vineyards. They are planted with the white wine varieties Grüner Veltliner, Roter Veltliner, Riesling, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Muskat-Ottonel and Roter Traminer, and with the red wine varieties Zweigelt, Blauburger, Rathay, Roesler and Cabernet Sauvignon.

Serious sources on the internet are rare - and Wine lexicon from wein.plus is one such source. When researching for my articles, I regularly consult the wein.plus encyclopaedia. There I get reliable and detailed information.
