The winery is located in the municipality of Grafenegg in the Kremstal wine-growing region of Lower Austria. It is run by Philipp Bründlmayer (oenology degree) as a classic family business. The vineyards cover 18 hectares of vineyards divided into 52 plots in the Gebling, Moosburgerin, Steingraben, Tiefenthal and Vordernberg vineyards. They are planted with the white wine varieties Grüner Veltliner (main variety), Riesling,Pinot Blanc and Neuburger, as well as the red wine variety Zweigelt. The vineyards are cultivated according to natural principles. The use of insecticides, herbicides and artificial fertilisers is completely avoided. The aim of the estate is to produce wines that are specific to their origin, which is why the individual vineyards are processed and vinified separately. The grapes are selected by hand several times. After fermentation, the white wines are stored for a long time on the fine le es. The product range includes various Kremstal DAC wines (Grüner Veltliner and Riesling). The autochthonous variety Neuburger is particularly cultivated.
The glossary is a monumental achievement and one of the most important contributions to wine knowledge. Of all the encyclopaedias I use on the subject of wine, it is by far the most important. That was the case ten years ago and it hasn't changed since.
