The winery is located in the municipality of Winnenden (Remstal-Stuttgart area) in the German growing region of Württemberg. It was founded in 2019 and is run by the brothers Rudolf, Hans and Karl Klöpfer. The vineyards cover one hectare of vines in the single vineyard Haselstein, which are planted with the white wine varieties Riesling and Silvaner, as well as the red wine varieties Spätburgunder (Pinot Noir), Schwarzriesling (Pinot Meunier) and Trollinger (Schiava Grossa). These are very old vines from the founding period, planted by the parents in 1964 during a reallocation or land consolidation. Until 2018, these were delivered to a winegrowers' cooperative. These vines have a deep root system and produce small-berried grapes with a low, reduced yield of 30 kilograms of grapes per acre and thus high-quality grapes.
Serious sources on the internet are rare - and Wine lexicon from wein.plus is one such source. When researching for my articles, I regularly consult the wein.plus encyclopaedia. There I get reliable and detailed information.
