The winery is located in the municipality of Oestrich-Winkel in the German wine-growing region of Rheingau. It was founded in 1936. Today, the winery is run by the third generation of the family, Christoph (viticultural engineer) and Thomas Eser (viticultural technician). The vineyards cover 15 hectares of vines in the single vineyard sites Doosberg and Lenchen (Oestrich), Rothenberg (Rauenthal) and St. Nikolaus (Mittelheim). They are planted with the white wine varieties Riesling, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc, as well as Pinot Noir. The oldest vines are over 70 years old. The vineyards are cultivated in an environmentally friendly and sustainable manner in order to preserve biodiversity. This includes cover crop, as well as restrictive use of pesticides and fertilisers.

There is a vast number of sources on the web where one can acquire knowledge about wine. But none has the scope, timeliness and accuracy of the information in the encyclopaedia at wein.plus. I use it regularly and rely on it.
