The winery is located in the municipality of St. Michael-Weißenkirchen in the Lower Austrian wine-growing region of Wachau. The winery came into family ownership through Leopold Bruch. Richard Bruch is the third generation of the family to run the winery, and his son Martin Bruch is responsible for winemaking. Apricot cultivation is also practised on 0.3 hectares. The vineyards cover 3.5 hectares in the Harzenleiten, Kirchweg, Kollmütz and Mariafeld vineyards, some of which are over 50 years old. The white wine varieties Grüner Veltliner, Riesling, Pinot Blanc and Chardonnay are cultivated. The vines are cultivated in a near-natural, environmentally friendly way, foregoing insecticides and herbicides, among other things. The white wines are vinified at the lowest possible fermentation temperature using classical methods to achieve a fruity style. They are produced in the Steinfeder, Federspiel and Smaragd lines according to the guidelines of the Vinea Wachau Nobilis Districtus association. In addition, noble brandies (apricot) are also produced.
