Bronnertraube

Name or name component for various grape varieties in Germany. According to DNA analyses carried out in 2013, the "real" Bronner grape is a cross between Elbling x Chasselas. Synonyms are Bronner, Bronnerstraube, Rote Bronnerstraube and Rote Bronnertraube. It is an all-female grape variety; it is therefore dependent on cross-pollination. The reddish-berried vine is used as a wine grape and table grape. In 2016, however, no stock was recorded under these names (Kym Anderson).
