Bric

The red grape variety (breeding no. Dalmasso 16-34) is a new breeding between the Italian varieties Barbera x Nebbiolo. The crossing took place in 1937 in Conegliano (Veneto) by the Italian breeder Giovanni Dalmasso (1886-1974). It is grown in tiny quantities in the four regions of Puglia, Marche, Tuscany and Veneto. In 2016, a total of 1.5 hectares of vines were reported in Italy (Kym Anderson statistics).
