The red grape variety (also Arnold 8) is an interspecific new variety between Clinton x Black St. Peters (Black Alicante). It contains genes from Vitis labrusca, Vitis riparia and Vitis vinifera. The hybrid was crossed in Canada by the private breeder Charles Arnold. With the same parents the new breed Canada was created. In 2016 no stocks were reported (statistics Kym Anderson).
For my many years of work as an editor with a wine and culinary focus, I always like to inform myself about special questions at Wine lexicon. Spontaneous reading and following links often leads to exciting discoveries in the wide world of wine.
