Bouquetriesling

The white grape variety is a new variety between Riesling x Muscat St. Laurent. Synonyms are Bukettriesling and Edelriesling. DNA analyses carried out in 2013 revealed that the Courtiller Musqué(Muscat Précoce de Saumur) named as the father variety in the breeding list was incorrect. However, this is based on only 20 DNA markers (see Molecular genetics). The cross was made by Christian Oberlin (1831-1915) in Colmar (Alsace).

The same parents also produced Diamantmuskat, Edelmuskat, Feinmuskat, Feinriesling, Firnriesling, Marienriesling, Muscat de la Republique, Muscat Dore de Semis, Muskatblume, Muskatbouquet, Muskatduft and Muskatriesling.
