The east to south-facing, wind-protected vineyards with slopes of 5 to 15% cover 49 hectares of vines. The soils consist of loess with sandy and partly stony loam. The varieties cultivated here include Riesling, Silvaner,Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir. The Domhof Baumann, Evangelische Kirche von Hessen und Nassau, Hiestand Erich and Rappenhof wineries, for example, have shares in the site.
