The red grape variety comes from Switzerland. It should not be confused with the Bonda or Bondola varieties because of the similarity of their names: according to DNA analyses carried out in 2011, it is probably a natural cross between Bondola x Completer. It belongs to the old plants grape variety group. The variety produces fruity, violet red wines with soft tannins. It is cultivated by a single producer in Ticino in the south of Switzerland. However, no stock was recorded in 2016 (statistics Kym Anderson).
For me, Lexicon from wein.plus is the most comprehensive and best source of information about wine currently available.
