The winery is located in the municipality of Herxheim am Berg (Mittelhaardt-Deutsche Weinstraße area) in the German wine-growing region of Pfalz. The traditional family has been growing grapes here since 1697. Today, the farm is run by Edwin and Martina Bohnenstiel. A holiday flat is also attached. There are annual events such as vintage presentations, wine walks in the Himmelreich and the autumn festival. The vineyards cover 12 hectares of vineyards in the Himmelreich, Honigsack and Kirchenstück (Herxheim) single vineyard sites with limestone marl and loamy sand soils. They are planted with the white wine varieties Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Silvaner, Müller-Thurgau and Gelber Muskateller, as well as with the red wine varieties Pinot Noir, Dornfelder, Merlot, St. Laurent, Cabernet Sauvignon, Acolon and Blauer Portugieser. The vineyards are cultivated in a natural, environmentally friendly way.
