The "Winzergenossenschaft Bickensohl eG", based in Vogtsburg-Bickensohl (Kaiserstuhl area) in the German growing region of Baden, was founded in 1924 by 24 members. Horst Kröhle is the managing director and Ernst Zimmermann and Markus Vogel are the cellar masters. The approximately 100 members cultivate a total of around 100 hectares of vineyards on loess and volcanic rock terraces with listed hollow alleys (for example the Eichgasse) in the Herrenstück and Steinfelsen (Bickensohl) single vineyard sites. The red wine variety Spätburgunder (Pinot Noir) is cultivated with about one third of the stock, as well as the white wine varieties Grauer Burgunder (Pinot Gris), Weißer Burgunder (Pinot Blanc), Müller-Thurgau, Silvaner, Riesling, Muskateller, Gewürztraminer, Scheurebe and a few other small varieties.
