The white grape variety originates from Morocco. Synonyms are Bezoul l'Hamra, Bezoul el Aouda and Bezoulta el Aouda. According to DNA analyses carried out in 2021, it comes from a presumably natural cross between Abouhou x Dedo de Dama. It is mainly used as table grape. No stocks were reported in 2016 (Kym Anderson statistics).

Serious sources on the internet are rare - and Wine lexicon from wein.plus is one such source. When researching for my articles, I regularly consult the wein.plus encyclopaedia. There I get reliable and detailed information.
