The winery is located in the municipality of Gols in the Burgenland wine-growing region of Neusiedlersee (Austria). The history of the Bernthaler family, rich in tradition, can be traced back to 1755, where it is mentioned in the local chronicle as owning 74 pounds of vineyards. The business is run by Helmut (cellar) and Herbert Bernthaler (vineyard). The vineyards cover eight hectares of vineyards on the eastern shore of Lake Neusiedl in the Altenberg, Eroff, Langenacker, Neufeld, Ungerberg, Zwerg and Zwickel vineyards. They are planted with the white wine varieties Chardonnay, Welschriesling, Neuburger, Grüner Veltliner, Pinot Blanc and Sauvignon Blanc, as well as with the red wine varieties Pinot Noir, Blaufränkisch, Zweigelt, St. Laurent and Blauburger.
