The winery is located in the municipality of Erlenbach a. Main (Mainviereck area) in the German wine-growing region of Franconia. The origin goes back to Siegfried Bernard. After his father Armin, Philip Bernard now runs the part-time business in the third generation. The partly terraced vineyards cover 1.5 hectares of vineyards in the single vineyards Hochberg (Erlenbach) and Schlossberg (Klingenberg). They are planted with the white wine varieties Pinot Blanc, Müller-Thurgau, Silvaner, Kerner and Bacchus, as well as with the red wine varieties Pinot Noir and Blauer Portugieser. The vineyards are cultivated close to nature with reduced yields. The white wines mature in stainless steel tanks, the red wines in domestic and French barriques and are partly bottled without filtration. A secco is also produced.
For my many years of work as an editor with a wine and culinary focus, I always like to inform myself about special questions at Wine lexicon. Spontaneous reading and following links often leads to exciting discoveries in the wide world of wine.
