Bergland Österreich

Next to Steirerland (Styria) and Weinland (Burgenland, Lower Austria, Vienna), the third Austrian wine-growing region. It includes the federal provinces of Austria that are not known as classic and traditional wine-growing regions. In 2020, the total area of the Bergland comprised 220 hectares of vineyards (compared to 2017 with 237 hectares, this was a reduction of 17 hectares, or 3%). These are distributed among the five federal provinces as follows (the 2017 values are in parentheses):

Carinthia with 123 ha (170 ha)
Upper Austria with 78 ha (45 ha)
Salzburg with 0.1 ha (7 ha)
Tyrol with 14 ha (5 ha)
Vorarlberg with 5 ha (10 ha)
