single vineyard in the municipality of Retzbach (Maindreieck area) in the German wine-growing region of Franconia. The vineyards, which are oriented from west-southwest to south with slopes ranging from 30 to 80%, cover 62 hectares of vineyards on shell limestone soils. The varieties cultivated here include Silvaner, Müller-Thurgau, Riesling, Kerner, Pinot Noir and Blauer Portugieser. Shares are held, for example, by the Hart Privat-Weingut, May Rudolf and Winzerfamilie Koch wineries, as well as members of the Thüngersheim winegrowers' cooperative.
For me, Lexicon from wein.plus is the most comprehensive and best source of information about wine currently available.Egon Mark
