Benedictus Mountain

Single location in the municipality of Retzbach (Maindreieck area) in the German wine growing region of Franken. The vineyards, which are oriented from west-southwest to south and have a slope gradient of 30 to 80%, comprise 62 hectares of vineyards on shell limestone soils. The varieties cultivated here include Silvaner, Müller-Thurgau, Riesling, Kerner,Pinot Noir and Blauer Portugieser. Shares are held, for example, by the Hart Privat-Weingut winery, May Rudolf and Winzerfamilie Koch, as well as members of the Thüngersheim winegrowers' cooperative.
