Bellino

The red grape variety originates from Italy. Synonyms are Bellino Nero, Imperial, Imperiale, Imperiale Nero, Imperial Noir, Perl Imperial Noir, Perla Imperiala, Perla Rosie Imperiala, Perle Imperiale Noire and Raisin Imperial. According to DNA analyses carried out in 2013, it is a presumably natural cross between Black Morocco x Schiava Grossa. However, this is based on only 20 DNA markers (see Molecular Genetics). By the way, with the same parents the two varieties Foster's White Seedling (white) and Maroc Gros (red) were created. This is an all-female grape variety. The variety was a crossing partner of the new variety Agostenga Rosa. It is used as wine grape and table grape. However, no stocks were reported in 2016 (Kym Anderson statistics).
