Belat

The red grape variety originates from Spain. The parentage is unknown. It was discovered in the Penedès area in an abandoned vineyard; a DNA analysis yielded its own DNA profile. This medium-maturing vine produces light red wines with soft tannins and aromas of red fruits, tobacco and spices. It is cultivated experimentally in the Albet i Noya winery. In 2016, no best land was reported (statistics Kym Anderson).
