Beerli wine

In Eastern Switzerland (Bünden, especially in the municipality of Maienfeld), this is the common name for a fruity red wine, which is produced in the traditional way from destemmed Pinot Noir grapes by means of maceration. Nowadays, however, destemming is common practice in the production of red wines, so that the designation has lost its significance.
