The winery is located in the municipality of Hattenheim in the German region of . The family business is run by Hans Bausch. The vineyards cover ten hectares of vines in the and (Hattenheim) single vineyard sites, around 60% of which is classified as ächs. They are planted with 85% Riesling, the rest with Pinot Noir. Environmentally friendly viticulture is practised with near-natural soil management, constant between the vine rows, organic and minimised plant protection. are controlled by means of pheromone traps and fungal diseases are reduced by measures such as the grape zone. Quality criteria are reduced with reduced yields and late harvesting with the aim of achieving the best possible ripeness of the grapes. The Rieslings are fermented in a cool place and matured in steel tanks with long storage on the . The Pinot Noirs are matured in traditional large wooden barrels or in barriques. Bottle-fermented sparkling wines are also produced.
