The winery is located in the municipality of Castagneto Carducci (province of Livorno) in the Italian region of Tuscany. It was founded in 1999 by Franco Batzella and Khanh Nguyen, who had previously worked in international finance for more than 20 years. After returning home, they entered the winemaking industry after completing their studies at the University of Milan. The vineyards in the areas of Bolgheri and Montalcino cover a total of 15.5 hectares. In Bolgheri (La Badia), the varieties Cabernet Sauvignon (about 70%), Syrah, Cabernet Franc, Viognier and Sauvignon Blanc are cultivated on 7.5 hectares. In Montalcino (Montòsoli), the Sangiovese Grosso (75%), Merlot and Cabernet Franc varieties are cultivated on 8 hectares. Various red, white and rosé wines of the DOC Bolgheri are produced. Among the premium wines are the two Bolgheri Rosso Tâm (60% CS, 40% CF, 24 months in French barriques) and Peàn (70% CS, 30% CF, 12 months in French barriques).
