The "Wein- und Sektgut Barth" is located in the municipality of Hattenheim in the German Rheingau wine growing region. The family business is managed by Mark and Norbert Barth. The vineyards comprise 20 hectares of vineyards in the locations Schönhell (Hallgarten), as well as Hassel, Schützenhaus and Wisselbrunnen (Hattenheim). They are mainly planted with Riesling (about 70%), as well as Pinot Blanc, Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon. They are cultivated in an environmentally friendly way. In suitable years also noble sweet Beeren- and Trockenbeerenauslesen, as well as ice wines are pressed. As already documented in the name of the winery, it specializes in the production of bottle-fermented sparkling wines according to the champagne method. The figurehead of the house is the "Barth ultra". The annual production is 120,00 bottles of wine and 50,000 bottles of sparkling wine. As a special feature, vines or their yield can be leased for three or five years (see also under vine sponsorship). The winery is a member of the VDP (Verband deutscher Prädikatsweingüter), Charta Rheingau and the Verband der Traditionellen Klassischen Flaschengärer.
