Barkan Wine Cellars

One of Israel's largest producers of wines and spirits, the winery was founded in 1990. The winery, which was built according to the most modern standards, is located in Kibbutz Hulda west of Jerusalem. The owner of the private company is Samuel Boxer, and Ed Salzberg is the cellar master. The product range also includes Vermouth, vodka (with the well-known brand Arkan), brandy, liqueur, gin and rum, as well as olive oil. However, the main product is wines from the red wine varieties Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, as well as the white wine varieties Chardonnay, Emerald Riesling, Muscat d'Alexandrie, Riesling and Sauvignon Blanc. The estate's own vineyards cover 250 hectares of vines. In addition, there are another hundred hectares cultivated by contract winegrowers who supply grapes.
