There are two grape varieties with this name:
The red grape variety is a new cross between - Băbească Neagră x Pinot Noir. The cross was made in Romania by the breeders Margareta Baditescu and N. Varga. In 2016, 0.5 hectares of vines were designated (Kym Anderson).
This white grape variety is a new cross between Muscat d'Hamburg x Mortágua. The cross was made in Portugal by the breeder José Leão Ferreira de Almeida. No stocks were reported in 2016 (Kym Anderson).
The glossary is a monumental achievement and one of the most important contributions to wine knowledge. Of all the encyclopaedias I use on the subject of wine, it is by far the most important. That was the case ten years ago and it hasn't changed since.
