Baden Selection

A quality label of the Baden Winegrowers' Association in the German Baden wine region, which is only awarded to wines from vines that are at least 15 years old. The maximum yield may not exceed 60 hl/ha. All wines are defined as quality grade QbA, even if the grapes had a higher must weight. Only the name of the area and variety may appear on the label; site names are not permitted. The wines must undergo a sensory (organoleptic) test and are put on the market at the earliest one year after bottling. See also under Selection.
