Bactericides

Chemical substances for the specific control of bacteria. They belong to the large group of pesticides. The name is derived from "bacterium" and "caedere" (kill). Death is caused by damage to the bacterial cell. Bactericides also play a role in plant protection or in the control of microorganisms. They are hardly used in viticulture.
