Babble water

In Germany (especially Hesse), a common term for an apple wine (or also for alcoholic beverages in general). It derives from the dialect expression "babbele" (to talk in a muddled way) and refers to the phenomenon that occurs with excessive alcohol consumption. See also under alcoholism.
