IGT area (country wines) for white, red and rosé wines in the Italian region of Sicily. It covers one hectare of vineyards in the two municipalities of Avola and Siracusa in the province of Siracusa. Grape varieties authorised in the region may be used. Varietal wines must contain at least 85% of the variety in question, up to 15% may be other varieties. For the wines, a minimum alcohol content is prescribed differently for each wine type, but no maturation periods.
The Wine lexicon helps me to keep up to date and refresh my knowledge. Thank you for this Lexicon that will never end in terms of topicality! That's what makes it so exciting to come back often.
