The winery is located in the municipality of Meersburg (Lake Constance area) in the middle of the landscape conservation area in the German wine-growing region of Baden. The family has been involved in winegrowing for many generations. In 1985, brothers Robert and Manfred Aufricht took over the business from their parents. The vineyards cover 29 hectares in the single vineyard sites Fohrenberg and Sängerhalde (Meersburg). They are planted with the red wine varieties Pinot Noir, Lemberger, Frühburgunder and Regent, as well as the white wine varieties Pinot Gris, Auxerrois, Pinot Blanc, Müller-Thurgau, Chardonnay, Riesling and Sauvignon Blanc. The top red wines are aged for several years in barriques. Bottle-fermented sparkling wines are also produced.
