The British wine expert Tim Atkin (*1962) is a wine author, radio commentator, photographer and
wine critic. In the latter capacity, he chairs the international wine competitions
International Wine Challenge, New Wave Spain Awards, South African Top 100 and Vins de Pays Top 100, holds the coveted title of
Master of Wine and received the Robert Mondavi Award for the best theoretical examination at the examination. Atkin is a regular contributor to various publications including
World of Fine Wine, Australian Gourmet Traveller Wine, Woman and Home and The Observer. He also regularly appears on TV as a wine expert on the BBC's Saturday Kitchen programme. He is a member of the wine brotherhoods Gran Orden de Caballeros del Vino (Spain) and
Confrérie des Chevaliers du Tastevin (France, Burgundy). Numerous awards underscore his great importance in the wine industry, including five Glenfiddich Wine Writer of the Year awards, the Wines of France Award in 1994, the Austrian
