The plant is located near Quintanilla de Onésimo in the DO area Ribera del Duero in the Spanish region of Castilla y León. Not far away is the Vega Sicilia winery. The Bodega Arzuaga Navarro was founded in 1993 by the two families Arzuaga and Navarro, who had made their money with hotels on Ibiza and in the textile trade. The building in the classic Castilian style houses a five-star hotel and a restaurant in addition to the bodega itself. Juan Carlos Martínez, who had previously worked in Rioja, was hired as an oenologist. Today Jorge Monzón and Oscar Navarro are responsible for the winemaking. The company's own vineyards cover around 150 hectares on the "Olivares de Duero" hillside, which is characterised by pure limestone around the bodega, as well as the "Finca La Planta", which is situated south of the valley high up on the meseta. In addition, grapes are also bought in. For the Barrique development mostly barrels from American oak are used. About 700,000 bottles of wine are produced annually, more than half of which are exported worldwide.
