The winery is located in the municipality of Höflein near Bruck/Leitha in the Carnuntum wine-growing region of Lower Austria. The roots of the family go back to the year 1650. A managed wine tavern established in the old farmhouse was opened in 1994. In Vienna, the "Restaurant Wieden" in the 4th district has been in operation since 1996 and the "Restaurant Franziskanerplatz" in the 1st district since 2008. The business is run by Hannes, Peter and Christoph Artner.

Vineyards & grape varieties

The vineyards cover 45 hectares of vines in the Aubühl, Bühlweingarten, Kirchberg, Kirchtal, Kirchweingarten, Satzl, Scheibner and Steinäcker vineyards. Two thirds of the vineyards are planted with the red wine varieties Zweigelt, Blaufränkisch, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah, and one third with the white wine varieties Grüner Veltliner, Riesling, Chardonnay, Welschriesling and Gelber Muskateller. The areas between the rows of vines are planted with greenery and trees to attract insects and promote biodiversity. Since the 2021 vintage, the vineyards have been cultivated according to the certified rules of organic viticulture.
