Description for a rounded taste in the context of a wine address or wine evaluation, whereby this applies especially to a red wine. Such wines are characterised by a gentle, harmonious flavour and are not dominated obtrusively by acidity or tannins. This is typical for older wines with matured tannins, for example. Related terms of round are balanced, smooth, mild, velvety and soft.
