The white grape variety (also Aromat di Jași) is an open-pollinated seedling of the Tămâioasă Românească variety. The parent variety is therefore unknown. The vine was selected in Romania by the breeders D. Danulescu, G. Sandu-Ville and Gh. Popescu. The variety is used as a grape variety and table grape. It has a muscat tone. In 2016, 66 hectares of vines were planted in Romania (Kym Anderson statistics).
There is a vast number of sources on the web where one can acquire knowledge about wine. But none has the scope, timeliness and accuracy of the information in the encyclopaedia at wein.plus. I use it regularly and rely on it.
