The white grape variety (also Aromat di Jași) is an open-pollinated seedling of the Tămâioasă Românească(Muscat Blanc) variety. The parent variety is therefore unknown. The vine was selected in Romania by grower D. Danulescu, G. Sandu-Ville and Gh. Popescu. The variety is used for pressing and table grape. It has a muscat fl avour. In 2016, 66 hectares of vineyards were designated in Romania (Kym Anderson statistics).
