The "Arnaldo Caprai Società Agricola" winery is located in the municipality of Località Torre di Montefalco (Perugia) in the Italian region of Umbria. It was founded in 1971 by the textile entrepreneur Arnaldo Caprai (1933-2026). In 1988, his son Marco Caprai took over the management of the business. The oenologist in charge is Attilio Pagli. In 2003, a state-of-the-art cellar and enoteca were put into operation. The consistent pursuit of the highest quality and the strong commitment to research and development are the reasons for the international success of the winery, which has developed into an internationally important production centre.
The vineyards cover 160 hectares, of which 50 hectares are leased. They are located in the DOCG Sagrantino di Montefalco, DOC Montefalco and Colli Martani areas. They are planted with the red wine varieties Sagrantino (leading variety), Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Canaiolo Nero and Pinot Nero, as well as the white wine varieties Grechetto di Orvieto, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Trebbiano Spoletino, Trebbiano Toscano and Fiano.
