The white grape variety (also Armash) originates from Romania. According to DNA analyses carried out in 2013, it comes from a presumably natural cross between Coarnă Alba (Pukhliakovsky) x Frâncușă. However, this is based on only 20 DNA markers (see under molecular genetics). It should not be confused with the Grasă de Cotnari (Armas) variety due to seemingly suggestive synonyms or morphological similarities. The variety is suitable as a winepress and table grape. No stocks were reported in 2016 (Kym Anderson).
